I survived my first signing! Granted, I did almost take out my driver’s side mirror in the process and I needed a four-nap today to recover, but I did it!

Outside The King’s English

The people at The King’s English were great. They do a lot of author events and I’ve been going there for years, so it was incredible to be the author this time!
I started out signing pre-orders while waiting for people to arrive, and also worked on my multi-tasking skills answering questions. I talked about my writing process, what inspired What is Hidden, and future plans.
I also read from the first chapter, including a bit of a glimpse at what changed from the advanced reader copy I still had on my kindle.
After that, I answered a few more questions, then signed and stamped everyone’s books. Also gave out a lot of candy, so if you weren’t there, you missed out.
All in all, a very successful event. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came and made my first event so memorable! I appreciated every single one of you!
One of my best friends from high school came by.

A look at the signing line. I had everyone sign a picture frame for me while they waited.

Look at that stack of pre-orders! That wasn’t even all of them.

My mom and one of my brothers even came out from Kansas for the event.
